Deepening Security Inspection Expertise, Empowering Service Upgrade - 2024 China Railway Passenger Attendant Technician Training Program Opens at Beijing Jiaotong University

To thoroughly implement the work deployment of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Railway") on improving railway passenger transport service quality and strengthening the professional competence of frontline passenger transport personnel, address the pain points and difficulties in railway station passenger service, and comprehensively enhance the integrated service capability and safety control level of passenger attendants on duty, the 2024 China Railway Passenger Attendant Technician Training Program was successfully launched at Beijing Jiaotong University. Outstanding frontline passenger attendants from various railway bureaus across the country gathered together to empower themselves through learning, promote practice through research, and jointly explore new paths and methods for the high-quality development of railway passenger transport services.

As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly established with China Railway, Beijing Jiaotong University boasts a profound heritage in railway education and is the birthplace of modern railway management and telecommunications education in China. Its transportation engineering discipline ranks among the world's leading programs, offering exceptional advantages in railway talent cultivation and industry technology research and development, which provided solid academic support and high-quality teaching guarantees for the smooth implementation of this training program. The training program focused on the core job responsibilities of passenger attendants on duty, precisely aligned with frontline service needs, and established a curriculum system covering multiple modules including passenger service standards, safety control, emergency response, and security inspection expertise. Among these, railway station passenger security inspection, as a critical component of passenger safety and service, became one of the key training contents.

Railway station passenger security inspection serves as the first line of defense in ensuring the safety of railway passenger transportation and the safety of personal and property, directly affecting passenger travel safety and the service image of railway passenger transport. As the coordinators of station passenger services, passenger attendants on duty have security inspection expertise that directly impacts the quality and efficiency of security inspection work. Based on this, the training program specially invited Mr. Zhao Jinlong, General Manager of Beijing Daoxin Dechen Technology Co., Ltd., to serve as the instructor. Mr. Zhao has been deeply engaged in the field of railway intelligent security inspection for many years, possessing rich frontline practical experience, industry R&D experience, and teaching experience. He also serves as a senior think tank expert for macroeconomics at the National Joint Integrity Service Platform and a senior think tank expert at the Yuanpei Expert Talent Pool, delivering systematic lectures on railway passenger security inspection work.

The instructor, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements such as the "Measures for the Administration of Safety Inspection in Railway Passenger Transportation," and based on the actual work scenarios of frontline passenger attendants on duty, delivered systematic instruction and in-depth sharing over four class hours, constructing a three-dimensional teaching model of "theory + practice + case studies" to ensure the content is professional, practical, and targeted. The course content closely aligned with the actual work of railway security inspection, with key coverage including the identification and disposal standards for prohibited and restricted items on railways, security inspection equipment operation and maintenance techniques, standard procedures for personal and baggage security inspection, service etiquette for special groups during security inspection, and security inspection emergency response plans. It also incorporated the application practices of current railway intelligent security inspection technology, providing detailed introductions to the operational standards and advantages of new equipment such as AI intelligent security inspection systems, leg security inspection devices, and intelligent sorting machines, and interpreting the application paths of intelligent security inspection technology in improving inspection efficiency and eliminating inspection blind spots.

During the lectures, the instructor shared a large number of typical security inspection cases based on years of frontline work experience, conducting in-depth analysis of common pain points encountered by frontline passenger attendants in security inspection work, such as uncooperative passengers, difficulties in identifying prohibited and restricted items, and security inspection congestion during peak passenger flow, and proposed practical solutions and operational methods. The trainees listened attentively, actively interacted, proactively raised questions based on their own work experiences, and engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with the instructor and peers, creating a strong learning atmosphere.
